Hooked on U!
Ms. T's Valentine's Day Outfit: Dress: Crewcut Anchor Dress (last season's, but similar ones here and here). Sweater: Ribbon Sweater from Nordstroms (old, similar one here). Belt: Xhilaration from Target, Set of 3 Glitter Belts in Azores Rose (awesome deal!). Boots: Nordstrom "Cassidy" Cowboy Boots in Metallic Pink. Tights: Gap Kids Chevron Tights in Ivory Frost (on sale now!). Headband: Anchor Headband from The Purple Goose. Jewelry: Candy Heart Necklace made by Hopscotch Sketchpad.
Since having kids, Valentine's Day has become more special. I really enjoy baking fun treats for my kids and buying or making them sweet little trinkets for the holiday. This year I decided to try these yummy Candy Heart Necklaces. I found this idea on this fun site called "Cute Food for Kids" (the how-to here). Aren't they too cute? Even my 10 year old wore his to school! I wonder if they will make it till lunch time....
As for Ms. T's V-day outfit, I thought it would be fun to come up with something a bit offbeat. I love this dress I got her on clearance at the end of the summer from Crewcuts. But she's only worn it probably two times. I thought Valentine's Day was the perfect opportunity to bring it out of the closet again (nautically-inspired trends are huge right now). So we paired it with a ribbon cardigan, replaced the rope belt with a sparkly pink skinny and topped it all off with a red ribbon anchor headband. It was Ms. T's snazzy idea to wear her pink cowboy boots. I think she looks pretty fabulous!
Hope everyone has a lovely Valentine's Day!
